The Roberto C. Goizueta Foundation and KSU have charge me with establishing a world class Regional Center for Early Childhood Education and a state-of-the-art Early Learning Center for children from four weeks through five years of age.I prepare Montessori teachers in research based, proven Montessori Teacher Education Programs at the M.Ed., B.S. and Continuing Education levels.This is the only University Primary Montessori Teacher Education Program accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education, MACTE, in the entire state of Georgia.

The PAN AMERICAN MONTESSORI SOCIETY was created to establish standards and criteria and accreditation for Montessori Teacher Education programs serving both public and private schools in several countries.The Society also establishes standards and criteria for its affiliated schools and provides them with essential guidelines, evaluation and international accreditation. Dr. Feland Meadows and Dr. Elisabeth Caspari, who studied and worked with Dr. Maria Montessori for four years at Koidakanal, India during WWII, established PAMS in 1973.PAMS has prepared Montessori teachers in California, Idaho, Montana, Illinois, Georgia, Florida, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, France and Switzerland. PAMS was one of the founding members of the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). Dr. Feland Meadows served as Chairman of the MACTE Commission for six years. MACTE secured recognition from the U.S.D.E. during his administration.

*Prepared Infant/Toddler Montessori teachers with state funding.*Prepared Primary Montessori teachers for the Georgia State Pre-Kinder Program in a "Week-end College" format so that candidates could attend from various parts of the state.. *Taught M.Ed. students and supervised the writing of their theses. *Served on Ed.D. doctoral committees with Georgia State University.*Served on the Early Childhood Advisory Council of the Professional Standards Commission (PSC) where I was the first to propose that the PSC establish a Certificate for teachers who serve children from birth through five years of age.*Served on the PSC "Zero to Five" Taskforce which again requested a 0-5 Certificate.*The PSC finally established the 0-5 Credential on September 14, 2004!
