My career in the Food Safety Laboratory started as a laboratory technician at the world's largest meat processing facility. I rose to Senior Laboratory technician and then was promoted to Laboratory Supervisor. I was then promoted to Laboratory Manager in 2016. I have had increasing responsibilities with each assignment. I have taken the time spent on the bench learning new procedures and increasing my skills and knowledge. I have been able to work with other departments on the production side of processing which has helped with sharpening my understanding of producing safe quality food within this industry. I enjoy learning new processes and leading teams of people who are enthusiastic about what they do.
