My purpose as a first grade teacher is to be flexible, creative, and adaptable to the needs of all students.-My classroom rapport is a welcoming environment which motivates my students to be eager to learn and develop new skills.Responsibilities:-Teach reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, and social skills utilizing course of study and common core curriculum.-Develop lesson plans and provide instructional materials needed to assist with learning.-Teach small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.-Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and materials within the classroom such as whole group discussion, small group discussion, one on one discussion, manipulatives, technology etc.-Monitor students daily progress academically and socially.-Establish good rapport with parents/and or legal guardian to provide goals feedback on students progress through conferences, phone, notes, assessment data, progress reports and report cards.
