Strategic Responsibilities :▪ Assist the Head, HCCM with facilitating the design and implementation of strategies and policies aimed at planning and managing the organisation’s workforce compensation and general welfare while ensuring business performance.▪ Continually review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the department’s policies, procedures and processes with a view to identify improvement opportunities leveraging technology and ensure alignment with leading practices.▪ Oversee the timely implementation of HR initiatives.▪ Anticipated emerging trends on HR issues within the assigned portfolio and define responses using visionary concept within the overall HR strategy.▪ Promote, clarify and interpret HR goals and objectives.▪ Conduct regular surveys on HR best practices and Competitors’ analysis as it relates to compensation & benefits.Compensation & Payroll Processing Management:▪ Design and manage the Bank’s compensation structure.▪ Ensure the timely preparation of staff payroll.▪ Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plan.Benefit & Welfare Management : ▪ Design, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements etc.NB: Other responsibilities include :•Drive business automation processes integral to Compensation and benefits management• Mapping Compensation structures on HRIS (vis a vis Defining phase, mapping phase and production phase) • Perform Industry driven Regulatory & Compliance functions.

o Preparation of reports assigned by the Executive Director (Finance) and Head of Human Resources as the need arises.o Responsible for monthly salary reports (I.e pre-payroll reports/activities)o Responsible for Preparation and processing of employees monthly salaries (I.e payroll &post-payroll activities )o Responsible for processing all statutory and industry related remittances vis-a-vis regulatory agencies,unions across all states with corporate presence (such as Personal Income Taxes- PAYE, Pension, Insurance reports, NSITF, ITF, Union dues etc)o Responsible for Liaising with pension fund Administrators, states’ tax boards and several other regulatory agencies etco Registration and Documentation of Newly employed workers (ie Employee Profiling) on ERP Software.o Responsible for Leave processing of employees (which includes sick leaves, annual leave etc)o Supervision of all Payroll officers/clerks delegationso Liasing with all sites project managers (& store keepers) on employees’ compensation plans/record.o Constantly liasing with payroll software consultants in proffering a seamless usage of the ERP.
