Feli has been a financial member of the Australian Association of Social Workers since 2008. While working with the Government of the Philippines in various Social Work leadership and management roles, Feli was awarded an AusAID postgraduate scholarship at the University of Queensland where she completed a master's in social administration in 2005 with specialisation in Social Policy, Social Research and Community Development. She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Human Services in 2009 specialising in Policy Development. She is yet to complete her Graduate Diploma in Migration Law with Australian National University.Feli worked as the Multicultural Coordinator involved in implementing four various programs including Community Action for a Multicultural Society (CAMS). Feli assisted refugees and migrants accessed to mainstream programs and services through Orientation to Australia, Community Capacity-Building and Governance, and Social Inclusion and Integration. Feli continued to expand her Social Work field of practice at the Ballina District Hospital - Northern NSW Health providing case management to frail aged people and younger people with disability and their carers in the Richmond Rivers.Feli also increased her clinical practice experience and knowledge of community services on child protection, palliative approach for people transitioning to Aged Care Facilities and the homes, and children with behavioral issues and disabilities when she worked for the Department of Health, and Department of Child Safety, Communities and Disabilities as a Clinician in Moreton Bay Region.Feli had provided external supervision to Postgraduate Social Work Students on placement in the Northern NSW and established a Multicultural Social Workers Network in Queensland. For almost 10 years, Feli worked in the Economic Participation and Community Development within the multicultural space helping refugees and asylum seekers settle and find employment. In 2018, Feli established her own company named Flaglines Regional Placement Agency to specialise in connecting jobseekers with opportunities in the regions for jobs, training or employment with a provision of wrap-around services to support them relocate. In 2021 up to the present, Feli has focused on the recruitment and placement of overseas Filipino skilled workers in engineering and manufacturing industry for employers in Regional Australia. At present, Flaglines has placed out over 50 Filipino workers to employers in Brisbane, Toowoomba and surrounds, Wagga Wagga and South Nowra of NSW and Victoria.
