PROJECT: Multi-Domain User Sensor Architecture (MDUSA)- Collaborated with an interdisciplinary team of ~12 mechanical engineers to develop a prototype modular targeting system for US Army forward observers- Engineered a lightweight kinematic interface that provides electrical communications between modular electro-optical systems, with precise and repeatable optical alignment to 250 μm, verified through prototyping and experimentation- Performed tolerance and finite element analyses to study the effects of temperature, manufacturing tolerances, and mechanical loads on the interface mechanics and alignment characteristics- Developed ~15 drawings based on ASME Y14.5 drawing standards to define the manufacturing definitions of the interface components- Produced mechanical outline drawings and CAD models in conjunction with electrical engineers for 2 printed circuit boards integrated in the interface electrical connectors- Managed the development of a particular module by an intern, giving guidance and recommendations for design and drawings- Guided lower-level engineers through the development of a concept system module

PROJECT: Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) Product Line- Led the Enhanced Vision Systems product line, guiding important engineering decisions regarding the product line that resulted in a service award from the customer- Consulted on issues with existing EVS products used Gulfstream and FedEx aircraft, and created solutions for these issues to maintain delivery schedules at a 100% adoption rate- Proposed, designed, analyzed, and documented a new variant of an existing EVS system as a retrofit to a first-generation EVS system installed in Gulfstream aircraftPROJECT: Missile Warning System- Collaborated with an interdisciplinary team for the ANG Missile Warning System proposal- Coordinated with the construction and layout of the system components for a flight test- Performed finite element analyses on the flight test fairings to ensure that the system will survive flight conditions- Developed the BOE for the mechanical engineering scope of work for the proposal
