Women in Information Technology Management (WITM) was established in 2007 to address and raise awareness of the significant gender gap within the Business Technology Management (BTM) program, and subsequently, the IT industry and corporate culture.As the current Executive Vice President of WITM, I collaborate closely with the Co-Presidents to oversee daily operations and enhance the efficiency of all WITM events and initiatives. My role involves working with the executive team to plan and execute activities that strengthen team bonds. Additionally, I am currently strategizing various charitable initiatives and events aimed at supporting women in need.

In my role as the Vice President of Marketing for Women in Information Technology Management (WITM), I led the strategic planning and execution of all marketing communications. By leveraging innovative graphic design, engaging newsletters, trendy apparel lines, and captivating videography and photography, my team and I successfully enhanced WITM's online presence across multiple platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and a revamped WITM website. This comprehensive approach not only boosted our visibility but also strengthened our community engagement and outreach efforts.

Toronto Metropolitan University's Chinese Student Association (TMUCSA) is a dynamic student organization dedicated to fostering a strong, inclusive community on campus through a variety of engaging social events and activities.As someone of Chinese heritage with a passion for bringing communities closer together, I have been able to elevate TMUCSA to a broader audience, with over 200 participants at each event. Serving as President of TMUCSA, I have led a passionate team in organizing and executing events that celebrate Chinese culture, promote cross-cultural understanding, and provide a supportive environment for all students. Through my leadership, TMUCSA has not only strengthened its presence on campus but also significantly contributed to the vibrant and diverse community at Toronto Metropolitan University.

As the Vice President of Marketing for TMUCSA, I played a key role in rebranding the organization and significantly increasing its online presence. By creating a new digital personality and designing a fresh logo, I led my marketing team in strategic efforts that resulted in high engagement on social media and a stronger connection for participants to the TMUCSA brand.

During my time as an Application Support Analyst Co-op at FGF Brands, I worked within the IT department to assist in troubleshooting internal software applications, granting admin access to employees, and analyzing and recording software incidents. I designed numerous infographics to educate employees on resolving minor software technical issues, allowing the Application Support team to focus on more complex technical challenges.Additionally, I volunteered to be part of the FGF Brands IT department events planning team, where I assisted in planning, promoting, and executing internal events to enhance team engagement and bonding. This experience not only honed my technical skills but also allowed me to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

As a Customer Experience Associate at TD Bank, I played a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service and support to clients. My responsibilities included assisting customers with their banking needs, resolving inquiries, and providing tailored financial solutions to enhance their overall banking experience.I ensured a high level of customer satisfaction by efficiently handling transactions, addressing concerns, and offering personalized advice on TD Bank’s products and services. This role allowed me to develop strong communication and problem-solving skills while building lasting relationships with clients and contributing to the TD's reputation for excellent customer service.

The Ryerson Financial Planning Association (RFPA) is a student group whose goal is to provide Ryerson students with experience and a competitive advantage in the field of financial planning, advising and wealth management.As a general associate, I work with the departments of RFPA (FAST, Events, Marketing, Finance, and Corporate Relations) on a rotational basis. Working with the RFPA has exposed me to more experience with different sectors that I have never considered and taught me how every department operates. Since joining the group, I had the opportunity to develop a strong foundation for each department and distinguish my business-related interests and strengths.

The RSU SHIFT Centre is a centre whose objective is to foster a sense of community in Ryerson and spread awareness about mental health to students. As someone who has struggled with mental health in the past, I understand how difficult and damaging the stigma surrounding the topic can be. I joined this group because I want to help educate students to understand the importance of their mental and physical health. As an ambassador, I helped plan and facilitated different events to achieve the centre's overall goals. Through social media platforms, I promoted healthy habits that can be beneficial to one's mental health and gave tips on ways to cope with stress.

As a huge movie fan, working at Cineplex was very exciting and fun. I have grown and learned so much since being hired. My favourite memories of working here were the long conversations I had with some wonderful guests about different blockbusters. As the box office employee, I was in charge of ticket sales, swaps, and in-person and online refunds. To provide a better experience for guests, I would memorize all the movie showtimes for every shift and the available special packages. Being the first person guests would first interact with, I was also responsible for addressing guest concerns via in-person and through the telephone.

A Birthday Coordinator is responsible for facilitating birthday parties for children under the age of 12. During the time I spent as a Birthday Coordinator, I was in charge of the party preparations. Preparations include setting up the rooms, packaging the individual children’s combo (candy, popcorn, and drinks), pre-ordering party food from the Outtakes section, and making seat reservations before the party arrived. During the parties, I stayed near the family to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. After the parties, I was responsible for the teardown and clean-up of the party. I enjoyed this position because of all the happiness I got to witness after helping to deliver a child's birthday party for their friends and family.

Teacher assistant at Donald Cousens Public School for students ranging from kindergarten to Grade 6. I loved working with the students and learned so much from the time I spent at the school. I realized that my impact went beyond just the classroom content. In the eyes of the students I worked with, I wasn't just a teacher but also a friend and mentor. Other than teaching, I taught the students to be kind to one another and stand up for what was right. For my position, I was responsible for creating and teaching small lessons to classes following the course outline. I worked individually with a variety of students who required special needs, IEP, and ESL. When the teacher was absent or went out for breaks, I managed the classes and ensured students were safe.
