IHNGC provides the tools, resources, and support that families need to overcome homelessness and achieve long-term stability.. The pet program provides a safe, on-site kenneling option for beloved family pets to stay alongside their human family as they work to regain stability.Responsibilities included assisting with intakes, case management, discharges, pet care, shelter operations, and volunteer supervision. This internship sparked an ongoing passion for Human-Animal Interactions (HAI) in social work and better integrating human and animal welfare.
