I've made my career about telling great stories. Everything I do is in support of this -- media relations, photography, graphic design, strategic planning, speech writing, data analysis, community engagement, and government relations.I've been a speech writer for both elected officials and private executives; designed and storyboarded websites for both non-profit agencies and for-profit companies; cultivated a strong media network in the Los Angeles region and beyond; and currently serve as primary agency spokesperson, managing publicity campaigns, crisis communications, and digital projects.I've been a regular contributor to the LA Weekly, Edible Westside, Modern Farmer, and other publications. My photos have been published by the California Department of Food and Agriculture, dining and gardening websites, and culinary schools.Community involvement is an important part of my personal value system. I started volunteering at the age of 14 with the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association as a student docent. As a young adult I did more animal-related volunteer work at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, first as an Aquaculture Assistant and then as a Aviculture Assistant and Marine Animal Rescue Program volunteer. I maintain strong ties with local non-profits today, serving on boards and often doing pro-bono work to help them realize their fundraising and outreach goals.
