As the program coordinator for Tipping the Scale Mentoring Program I am responsible for maintaining the relationship between the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida and UF Health Jacksonville & Baptist Medical Center- Beaches. This role includes mentor and student recruitment, case management, , partnering with local agencies, speakers, and entrepreneurs to facilitate biweekly workshops with students. I am also responsible for quarterly reporting, referring students to agencies to help meet their specific needs, working as a liaison between the mentor and their student, completion of all daily tasks regarding the program’s success, and planning various program events. As the program coordinator, I am also responsible for co-facilitating an 8 Weeks Job Readiness Class and supervising student workers at Baptist Health and UF Health Jacksonville.

Continued to fulfill the role of a Youth Development Specialist through Bridge Connection 1 after previous agency merged with The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida in July 2017. As a team member of the Bridge Connection 1: Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program I provided intensive case management to youth between the ages of 9-14 years old. This included weekly school and home visits, academic monitoring, school and community based referrals for the students’ individual needs, along with social and emotional support and guidance among other duties. This role required strong time management and client engagement.

As a team member of the Bridge Connection 1: Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program I provided intensive case management to youth between the ages of 9-14 years old. This included weekly school and home visits, academic monitoring, school and community based referrals for the students’ individual needs, along with social and emotional support and guidance among other duties. Provided home visiting services to families with a high risk of child abuse and neglect. Assisted in connecting families to community resources and building self sufficiency. Supported parents in learning new parenting skills and educated them on their child's development.
