My current role offering self catering holidays, working with my husband David, evolved from the need to diversify away from Dairy farming into something that would actually make money! As with every small business daily duties include everything from cleaning the toilets to strategic marketing, budget monitoring, and customer liaison, as well as looking after the animals.The unexpected outcome is that we both enjoy the social interaction with our guests and have been enriched by those we have met. In a short space of time Hoe Grange Holidays has become award winning and we are now widely respected within the Tourism industry. Our goal is to expand the holiday business further whilst continuing to farm the land in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way and provide guests with an overview of modern farming.Specialties: creative marketing, branding, customer liaison, collaboration with local accommodation providers and rural businesses, project co-ordination and grant applications, farm diversification.
