My mission is to contribute to better ways of living and working, so that our society, environment and economy thrives into the future. Why? I grew up as a free-range kid on a farm where I was able to explore beyond my limits, understand my connection to the natural world, and learn how to innovate (farming - what an entrepreneurial, risky business that is!). It taught me how to improvise, contextualise, and swim with leaches. But most of all, it set me up with values and skills that I hold today – • building for the common good, • integrity above all else, • creating new value from what I’ve got, and • uplifting the people around me. These values and motivators shaped the things in my career that I’m most proud of– • Raising awareness of the power of technical innovation in the federal public sector, for which I won an Australia Day Public Service Award• Navigating a disability services organisation through the inception of the NDIS, earning a Victorian Premier’s Women in Board Leadership Award• Building world-leading customer services in the Victorian public transport sector and travelling the globe sharing my insights• Co-designing and leading many inspiring initiatives within government, business, not-for-profit and startups as a consultant.I relish intellectual stimulation and the opportunity to solve significant problems, and have built a cache of highly transferable skills including:• Designing and delivering strategy• Innovation management, frameworks, and portfolio approaches• Building business capability in teams, processes, and systems• Stakeholder engagement and change leadership in complex situations• Entrepreneurialism I love nothing better than the responsibility and autonomy to improve business outcomes, optimise operations, or create things for the common good. If you’d like my services to help realise your vision, let’s connect.
