As a global mix method research specialist with 16 years of experience in the industry, I have worked across Market Research and UX Research, and am currently a Sr. UX Research Manager and lead for 'Teams' Growth portfolio looking at Consumer and SMB. I have had the opportunity to work with global brands and products that inspire and challenge me. At Microsoft, where I have been for 6 years, I have worked in product development for Mixed Reality and AI as well as strategic storytelling for Dynamics 365. I am currently managing a UX Research team supporting the growth portfolio for Teams. I am passionate about thinking about the future of collaboration, communication and industry, seeing how technology and cultural change fits together to bring us into the next generation. I get excited about solving real problems with emerging technology. As a people manager, my goal is to develop individuals and teams to have a growth mindset, fostering accountability and action. I am proud to have been the lead researcher as the D365 Guides Mixed Reality app was being created, changing the way front-line workers can be trained on the job. I am also a passionate advocate and expert in building more accessible products for all. I have worked extensively across fmcg, alcohol/beverage, athletics and much more! I believe in understanding the consumer, NOT asking them to tell us the answer, but truly understanding their needs and their world, in order to help and enhance their experiences. I believe in getting out of the bubble and pushing ourselves to see all sides of the story. I have worked with brands all over North America, Europe, Asia and globally, and have lived and worked in 5 different countries. I love speaking engagements to take an audience on a journey and get them excited about cutting edge methodologies and thinking about the world differently.
