My experience as a designer ranges across disciplines from communication and digital design to strategy and design for the public realm and urban environments. As an interdisciplinary design practitioner, I understand that open and honest communication, effective collaboration, and sharing knowledge and information is crucial to the success of any team or project.I value opportunities to build relationships with other design professionals with a particular interest in championing responsible and inclusive design.I am passionate about delivering sustainable outcomes that positively benefit our communities and the environment. I believe that true collaboration between disciplines will allow us to initiate, adapt and support the changes that we must collectively make to ensure a more sustainable future. My leadership and project experience spans a broad range of sectors including Transport, Health and Education, with my communication and leadership skills being refined over 15 years coordinating and working with diverse teams within Queensland Government, the private sector and tertiary institutions. As an interdisciplinary designer my communication, strategy and project management skills are transferable across disciplines.My formal qualifications include a Master of Design Futures (Queensland College of Art, Griffith University), and a Bachelor of Design - Communication Design (Queensland College of Art, Griffith University). I have also taught and convened foundation, undergraduate and post-graduate Design and Design Futures courses at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University. During my time at the Queensland College of Art I also worked as lead designer and research assistant for a Griffith University funded design and research project where I co-authored and published the findings of the ‘Handling E-waste with Care’ project under the supervision of Dr Eleni Kalantidou.
