No matter the role I'm in, I seek to facilitate collaboration that fosters unity, purpose, and empowerment.Through 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications, I've collaborated with purpose-driven organizations across various sectors, including political campaigns, nonprofit, small business, personal branding, and financial services. My background equips me with the flexibility and dynamism to both develop high-level strategies and execute detailed plans effectively. My experience has focused on organizations undergoing change, and this has led me to pivot to organizational change management.Through my 3 years with TruStage (formerly known as CUNA Mutual Group), I have developed and executed integrated communication strategies for an enterprise-wide initiative consolidating 14+ brands into a single cohesive brand. This involves working with cross-functional teams to align and prepare over 4,000 employees to navigate and lead through organizational change.Previously, as the founder and CEO of Woc Space, a marketing studio, I led a team of five in developing and launching over 50 services, programs, and campaigns. We supported 100+ women and femme entrepreneurs of color, helping them tell their stories and grow their businesses. Many of these businesses were at a tipping point, looking to take their business to the next level amid challenging times during the global pandemic and complex social issues.My passion for inclusive business stems from my family's experiences during the Cuban Revolution and their subsequent immigration to the United States. This heritage, combined with a decade of political organizing and advocacy for gender equity, drives my commitment to diverse representation and intentional leadership in all my work.
