- Evaluating how stakeholder engagement affects groundwater management in the states of Nebraska, Arizona, and Pennsylvania (NIFA grant). In this research I have developed a dynamic optimization model that merges economic theory and hydrological aspects, and designed a lab experiment using Z-tree. - Measuring water efficiency at field scale using a rich data set involving 30,000 fields during 2004 to 2011 using econometrics (Stata) and Data Envelopment Analysis (GAMS). - Examining the economics of precision agriculture and evaluating the value of information for variable rate technologies using Bayes statistics, Bayesian econometrics and non linear models.- Data analysis on agriculture and environment in the United States and Brazil using different packages such as Stata, SAS, Matlab, R and GAMS. - Investigation on the agricultural production effects on the environment, such as forest and groundwater aquifer in both United States and Brazil.- Financial data collection and management, and development of financial indexes and statistical analysis using Excel, Stata and R.

- Investigation on the agricultural production effects on the Brazilian Amazon forest - Investigation on Agribusiness issues: 1) identification of the impact of rural extension on farm profit estimating a system of supply and demand equations, and a production function for more than 4 million farms (observations) using Stata (with Carlos Freitas and Mateus Neves);2) calculation of net returns to cooperative membership estimating the farm profit (system of equations) for more than 2 million farms (observations) using Stata (with Carlos Freitas and Mateus Neves);3) estimation of the public expenditure effects on agricultural productivity estimating a stochastic frontier at the municipality level using Stata;4) farm productivity under climate change scenarios and how irrigation can mitigate its effects estimating a meta-frontier using Stata and Sas.
