Created complete valvetrain system models for various engine platforms within GT Power Suite software to analyze engine brake design performance and dynamic forces.

• Led design, simulation and validation activities for a new of its kind dual Rear Engine Power Takeoff (REPTO) system from concept to full production phase with cross functional teams. • Created 3D CAD models in Creo of new component and assemblies and defined tolerances on drawing prints based on calculated GD&T stack up including flywheel housing, gears, bearings, covers and output shafts.• Worked with manufacturing, service and suppliers to define assembly processes that would minimally impact complex engine production lines and service time in the field compared to standard engines. • Defined service procedures, requirements and system limits for OEM customers and end users.• Developed new test-cell validation procedure that represents actual application field usage condition cycles. • As subject matter expert for flywheel housings and REPTO systems, guided engineers globally on designs and testing requirements across different engine platforms.

• Investigated 7-step root cause analysis on failing engine mount and fan hub of current product team. • Identified root cause as high shock loading under certain conditions, redesigned engine mount with additional structural support in high loading areas based on finite element analysis (FEA). • Worked with supplier to modify existing cast mold tooling to reduce cost of creating all new tooling.
