Passionate about athletics and dedicated to pushing my limits, I am Felipe, a Pro-Am Athlete specializing in road running. Hailing from the beautiful state of Oaxaca, Mexico, I find joy and purpose in representing the indigenous Zapotec community of the Southern Sierra.With a strong educational foundation from the Agricultural High School at Chapingo, I bring a unique perspective to my athletic pursuits. I have honed my skills and expertise in road running, particularly excelling in the challenging disciplines of the half marathon and marathon.Throughout my sporting journey, I have achieved remarkable milestones that highlight my determination and commitment. Notable accomplishments include securing the 1st place in the Santa Lucía del Camino Charity Run in January 2020, clinching the 3rd place in the 1,500m Oaxaca State Championship in December 2019, and taking the top spot in the prestigious Pescado de Moctezuma Race in March 2020.Reflecting on my best races in recent years, I proudly recall participating in renowned events such as the 21k Guadalajara, Mexico City Marathon, Oaxaca State Championship, and Trail La Raya Zimatlan in 2019. In 2020, I continued to shine in races such as the 10K Santa Lucía del Camino Charity Run, 5k Education Run, Euroamericano 10k Race, and Carrera Pescado de Moctezuma. In 2021, I achieved a remarkable time of 2:57 in the highly competitive Veracruz Marathon.I am a firm believer in the power of sports to unite communities and drive positive change. Outside of my athletic pursuits, I actively engage with Oax Sport, an organization dedicated to promoting sports among indigenous communities in Oaxaca.
