- Deploying and managing workloads using AWS cloud and kubernetes for containers orchestration- App modernization (moving to cloud or leveraging cloud services that can improve performance, availability, cost efficiency or security)- Working together with developers to ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery- Developing and managing modules, templates and libraries providing reusability on resources that could spam multiple projects or environments- Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, suggestions and implementation of permanent fixes- ⁠Advocating and providing guidance/tools for autonomously minded developers

- Managing a multiple accounts environment with AWS Organizations + Control Tower- Creation and maintenance of terraform modules to provide independence to development teams to operate and build features within best practices and specific boundaries/rules- Controlling access on AWS Console and Kubernetes Clusters using AWS Single Sign-On as the identity manager and integrating with RBAC (permissions segregated between different products and environments)- Differentiating products and it's singularities within EKS Clusters using specific node groups, taints/tolerations and node selector/affinity- Creating stop/start schedules routines for development and staging environments during off-hours

- Using CloudFront+S3 to host React/Angular frontend apps and API Gateway+ELBs+Cognito to provide connectivity and authentication to backend services- Working with DynamoDB and DocumentDB (NoSQL), Aurora (relational) and ElastiCache (cache) for data persistence- Preference for async patterns, using notifications and queues - SNS+SQS- Hosting Node.js/.NET Core services with Docker (to build images), ECR+ECS for repository and compute services, we are able to ensure zero downtime deployments with Blue/Green deployment and also Canary Release practices- Using concepts like DDD (Domain-Driven Design) and CQRS (Command and Query Responsability Segregation) to build containerized microservices, favouring reutilization and minimal coupling as possible- Working close with DEV Teams to orchestrate and configure CI/CD pipelines in order to provide faster and reliable software deployment- Using Git and Terraform to manage and version infrastructure- Real time monitor with CloudWatch/X-Ray and log querying with Glue/Athena- Developing tools and automations using Lambda (Python/Node.js)

@IT Infrastructure Projects (2016 - 2018)- Supporting and contributing to project deployment activities by participating in the scoping of project efforts, risk identification and mitigation- Working with business partners and solution analysts to define/refine project scope, project backlogs and release plans- Building/Identifying effective, flexible and scalable solutions using cloud platforms or on-premises infrastructure- Communicating IT activity status, providing timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems to project management- Collaborating with various IT teams to ensure best practices and the appropriate support models are established prior to operational transition- Writing/Preparing IT related documentation in order to update on going operations knowledge base@On-Going Operations (2013 - 2016)- Managing Estacio's DCO (data center outsourcing) with a multidisciplinary team (DBAs, O.S. analysts, operators etc)- Ensuring escalation of high priority problems in an effective and timely manner to ensure SLA- Handling complex hardware and software problems recognition, research and resolution- Managing data center related tickets (SLA, aging, backlog etc) for Estacio's Shared Services Center- Providing on-demand and scheduled reports and presentations to management- Interfacing with vendors for procurement and maintenance of all data center IT infrastructures

- Last tier support for internal users and applications (Shared Services Center tickets)- Supervising and/or providing guidance to lower-level members of the team- Determining incidents root cause and taking actions to prevent re-occurrence- Managing capacity and availability of 60+ systems hosted on 350+ servers- Monitoring of all servers, applications and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability and SLA’s- Creating/Configuring environments to update or to host new applications

- Performing Tier II troubleshooting desktop, server and application incidents- Directly resolving or appropriately escalating reported problems/issues- Supporting Brazil-wide remote internal users over 90 different campuses (occasionally traveling to campuses if needed)

- Supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure for Mobile/SMS applications- Developing small utility scripts and programs using PowerShell/Bash scripting to monitor specific needs- Working with on call shifts

- IT support for internal users and associates- Configuring, maintaining and supporting several technologies and products, such as; O.S. (Windows/Linux) Routers/switchesFirewalls/gatewaysMail servers/anti-spam technologies- Presenting workshops about in-house software to associates, combined with Q&A sessions

- Tier II support- Responsible for setting up LAN and WAN (point-to-point protocol) networks for new datacenter costumers- Setting up monitoring tools (MRTG, Nagios etc)- Assisting with the scoping/designing networks subnetting
