Felipe Machado is a Senior Communications & Digital Media specialist with international experience. He is a creative and versatile professional who has worked for a wide range of media companies, from Digital Media to Content Management, from Journalism to Advertising. Machado has developed a strong capacity to create and lead projects combining innovative concepts with solid strategic and commercial goals, including Branded Content and Digital Marketing actions. His skills include the development of creative projects, communication strategies, content development, digital marketing, multiplatform advertising, international partnerships, and PR planning. Machado has worked in leading positions at many relevant media players in Brazil. He has directed two documentaries, ‘Mordaca no Estadao’ (Gagging the Newspaper O Estado de SP) and ‘Um Paraíso Perdido’ (Paradise Lost), and the fictional short ‘Love 2.0’. As a freelancer, Machado has collaborated with publications such as The New York Times (USA), Citizen K, Mixte, Double (France), Vision (China), and Back2Back (UK), besides Brazil’s most important publishers. As a writer, Machado has released two novels, ‘Olhos Cor de Chuva’ (Rain-Colored Eyes, 2002), and ‘O Martelo dos Deuses’ (The Hammer of the Gods, 2007), a children’s book ‘Um Lugar Chamado Aqui’ (A Place Called Here, 2016, winner of the Youngsters Book of Year Award from Fundação Nacional do Livro Infantil e Juvenil), and two works of non-fiction – ‘Bacana Bacana: The Adventures of a Journalist in South Africa’ (2010), and ‘Ping Pong: The Adventures of a Journalist in Olympic China’ (2008, nominated for Prêmio Jabuti, one of the most prestigious Brazilian literary awards. In 2019, he published "Palavra de Homem" (Man's Word), a series of articles from his weekly column/blog on O Estado de S. Paulo.He is also the founder and lead guitar player for international rock act VIPER, with whom he has recorded, produced, and toured in Europe, Japan, the US, and South America. Felipe has released two albums as a solo artist, "FMSolo" (2015) and "FMX" (2020). As a screenwriter, he has movie and TV series projects in development in Brazil and overseas.
