Upon my return to Spain, I worked as a Project Engineer in the Technical Office of the company headquarters.In 2008 I coordinated the entry of five of the group's factories into the interruptibility service defined in the regulation ITC/2370/2007. This project included the design and installation of control equipment, as well as a large number of procedures with REE (the Spanish electrical grid operator) and the Ministry of Industry and Energy.In 2009 I participated in the implementation of an online electrical and thermal energy management system that registers the energy generated and consumed in all the group's factories, with the aim of monitoring and optimizing the energy efficiency of the plants.On the other hand, I also took care of various procedures related to the energy of the plants, such as the contracting of electrical energy, modifications in measurement installations and energy studies, maintaining frequent contacts with the group's plants, official organizations, REE and electricity suppliers.

During my last year in this factory I was also the Maintenance Manager, leading a team of 40 people (5 engineers, 6 chargehands, 19 fitters and 10 electricians) which increased to 100 people during the plant planned stoppages. The main objective of this stage was to create a work team to ensure the continuation of the good performance of the production lines.

After two years, I had the chance of combine my work as automation technician with the role of head of preventive maintenance and electrical maintenance planning. The main technologies used were thermographic images, vibration analysis and inspections of rotating parts using a strobe lamp. Corrective maintenance was substantially decreased thanks to the development of inspection plans and preventive and predictive maintenance enhancement, using IBM's MAXIMO CMMS.

After a starting period, I moved to the factory the company held in Ireland. There, I started as automation technician, developing improvement projects and taking care of the electrical maintenance of the facilities. I worked mainly with Siemens S5 and S7 and Mitsubishi Melsec PLCs, Siemens HMIs, FactoryLink SCADA, VFDs from diverse brands, PID controllers and other types of devices. At this stage, many small and medium reforms were done, increasing the safety, quality and productivity of different production lines.

I participated in several projects of improvement and installation of production lines, designing electrical drawings and programming PLCs and SCADAs. I also gave support to the electrical maintenance of the plant.
