My passion for thoughtful user-centered design is built on a foundation of 20+ years building digital products, understanding customer needs, and thinking strategically. My three superpowers:1) Listening. It is the basis of all effective communication, and I listen for what is said as well as NOT said, in order to develop actionable insights and thoughtful partnerships.2) People always come first in my book. A lot of my energy is in creating a nurturing, sustainable, safe environment so people can grow to beyond their perceived potential, and they can take risks with work. There is intentionality to the organizational processes and operations that I design and manage. As someone who is racially Chinese and ethnically Costa Rican, I collaborate on Inclusion, Equity and Diversity initiatives at my workplace.3) I can zoom in and out simultaneously. Through the lens of my architectural training, I'm able to analyze problems at multiple scales at once, work out details with my team while still connecting the dots to larger trends and company initiatives.
