Reported to the Director of NASA Aeronautics Research Institute (NARI) as one of 16 interns focused on creating a user-intuitive application for designing drones based on mission objectives. Designed and cataloged 1620 drone configurations to cover as many use cases as possible and developed a proof of concept using Python. Conducted research under Dr. Melanie Correll in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. Wrote an R program to determine leaf count and calculate canopy leaf area from pictures of the common bean. The algorithm first used k-means clustering in tandem with color segmentation to identify green objects. Then, it looked at each individual object’s area and perimeter and calculated the circularity to determine whether an object was a leaf, stem, or bean pod. Wrote research paper on the importance of this algorithm for developing crop models leading to more resilient crops

Following HIPAA guidelines, extracted data from individual patient records before merging all the extracted data into one master data table.Used t-tests, chi-square tests, and variance analysis to determine whether there is a spatial pattern of disease in the mouth and if this pattern is different between healthy individuals and individuals with Sjögren's syndrome.
