I am a fluid systems engineer who provides technical support for all non-reactor plant fluid systems on the S5W Moored Training Ships as well as providing technical expertise and knowledge for steam/propulsion plant fluid systems on LOS ANGELES, OHIO, SEAWOLF, and VIRGINIA Class commissioned submarines and the S8G Prototype. I have experience analyzing fluid systems using Crane Technical Paper No. 410 for simper problems to using CFD software such as Mentor Graphics Flowmaster for more complicated fluid system analysis. I also have performed cost/benefit analyses and engineering studies to provide disposition/recommendations for emergent issues/requests from multiple customers such as Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, and Navy Shipyards. My other responsibilities include developing and maintaining fluid system diagrams, drawing revisions, ship alteration products, and technical manuals.Currently, I serve as an engineering project lead responsible for development of a ship alteration package scheduled to be accomplished on the S8G Prototype to support its upcoming refueling overhaul.
