I am an Associate Professor within the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research, which is part of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton. One of the major focal points of my research is developing new so-called acoustic metamaterials for making transport systems more comfortable, living spaces quieter, and, in general, reducing the problem of low-frequency noise in our environment.
