I am a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Griffith University. I am a clinical and research physiotherapist with an area of expertise in sports and musculoskeletal injuries.My research focuses on sports-related concussions and how physiotherapy can be integrated into the management of athletes following a concussion. I was the recipient of an NHMRC post-graduate scholarship and my PhD thesis investigated the sensorimotor system in adolescent rugby players, focusing on identifying the changes to the musculoskeletal and vestibular systems post-concussion. I am currently involved in a number of research projects with elite and community sporting teams which include research topics in sports-related concussion, sports and musculoskeletal injuries, injury surveillance and sports injuries in adolescent athletes.I am an experienced clinician and currently lead a sports injury screening clinic in South Brisbane. I work with high school athletes and representative-level rugby union teams. I am currently involved in the Queensland Reds Academy U15-19s program.
