During my 6 months at Chuckleberry Community Farm, I managed the business’ accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing and federal tax (GST) rebate claims via QuickBooks.

Working on the General Electric Managed Service Provider programmes in both the UK and France, I had a headcount of over 350 temporary workers. I was responsible for processing all contract extensions, rate changes and budget updates in Fieldglass, an online vendor management system. My daily tasks also included translation, preparing Excel reports, as well as providing written and verbal software support to GE staff and recruitment agencies, with whom I developed excellent rapport. All of my work activities were billed on Salesforce, and from the very first month I consistently met or surpassed my monthly targets. The French programme was relatively new when I was taken on, meaning that I helped instigate and implement certain program processes along with my colleagues in Paris. On both programmes I was granted significant responsibility and autonomy, and was left to organize and manage my own deadlines.

I worked on a variety of projects, in both English and French, for car manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. I translated surveys designed by Toyota and Opel into French and carried them out via telephone with hundreds of clients and businesses in France. I was given the responsibility of planning JLR audits, which entailed liaising directly with heads of businesses. I also carried out various ad hoc translation and data entry tasks for departments across the company, as well as market research for Audi and Mercedes-Benz. During the latter period of my temporary contract, I was involved in the AGCO trade club program, preparing and carrying out phone and web-based market research and analysis for Massey Ferguson.
