Whether it be public speaking, negotiating, team building, or sales I feel extremely confident I can get my message across clearly & concisely.In April of 2018, I moved to Grapevine, Texas to pursue a new job opportunity. With that move, I brought all of the accounting knowledge I accrued with my time at MQB to my new position.I graduated from McNeese State University in December, 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. I started as an intern at McElroy, Quirk, & Burch in Lake Charles, Louisiana in July of 2014 & remained on throughout graduation where I became a full time employee upon graduation.I worked in the controllership department which is a division of the company that deals with everyday transactions for local businesses. My duties include payroll & filing the quarterly reports, sales tax, general book keeping, compilations, generation of financial statements, writing checks & paying bills, billing customers & receiving money to deposit, and any questions that may arise pertaining to the general ledger & journal entries.Most of the personable skills I have built have come from my experience in sales. Most people when they're in middle or high school wouldn't think of starting a hobby of buying & selling items for a profit which would turn into something that they would gain so much knowledge and skills from, but I did. I work hard at what I do whether it be waking up at 4:30AM on any given Friday or Saturday and hitting the road to find new treasures or staying up late listing and buying items online. I have been able to meet local business owners and build a rapport with them. The skills I have gained from doing this would far surpass typical skills of a person my age.I will bring all of the skills I have gained through the years to any opportunities I am able to take on.
