Felix Orole is an Assistant Professor of Management at Australian Catholic University’s Peter Faber Business School. He also held academic positions at the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology. He has over 15 years of experience in curricula development and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in HRM, Organizational Behaviour, and General Management. Felix is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Before entering academia, he has extensive industry experience in telecommunications and business development, consulting for Fortune 500 and multinational corporations such as Manpower Group and Singapore Telecommunications. His research interest is in Family Business (Succession, Next Generation Mentoring, Governance, Sustainability), Entrepreneurship (Individual- and Firm-level entrepreneurialism), Internationalization of the firms (alternative systems of inter-firm exchange), and Digital Coaching and Immersive Learning Technologies.On a personal level, I love seeing people emerge, thrive & become! On the inside, I feel connected to all people. I feel that I am like a molecule, bumping around in the universe and forming bonds with others to make something new. My sense of connection joins me to others in any social setting: strangers on a bus, faces in a crowd, people standing next to me in a queue. People say that we have lost our sense of community, but actually, the tools of the 21st century have allowed us to broaden it. In today’s world, we start out as an individual with an idea and then gravitate toward others who can help us realize our vision. That sense of interpersonal gravity is very important for me because I know I can learn and achieve more the more I connect with others.
