Felix Watson Email and Phone Number
Felix Watson is a MEng Materials Science and Engineering @ Imperial College at Imperial Racing Green. Colleagues describe him as "I had the pleasure to be Felix supervisor during the Faraday Undergraduate Summer Experience programme in 2024. Despite the programme being 8 weeks long only, Felix did fantastic progress learning about electrode coating, analysing the mathematical models and implementing them numerically. In particular, I would like to highlight Felix's communication and time management skills, which made it very easy to work with him, even remotely." and "I taught Felix A level Chemistry at BHASVIC. He was a motivated and interested student who worked with determination to achieve the best grades possible. Felix took on board advice and feedback and was a pleasure to work with. I look forward to seeing how he uses his science in the future."

Student AmbassadorImperial Materials Jan 2023 - PresentLondon, England, United KingdomInspired young adults and children about the world of material science. I have given tours around the Materials Department at Imperial as well as working on outreach stands at festivals and open days. Through this experience, I have gained a much better understanding of the value of community within a field of research. Especially for one commonly misunderstood such as material science by the general public.Compressing some very technical concepts into something a kid can understand was one of the most valuable skills I have gained from this work. -

Co-Founder And CeoGreenfields Energy Mar 2023 - Jul 2023London, England, United KingdomGreenfields Energy was a "concept start-up" with the vision of helping farmers around the UK make the transition to installing renewable energy sources on their farms. We built an algorithm which could predict the financial viability of wind and solar installations based on initial start-up costs, maintenance fees, licensing costs and predicted the potential income through local wind and irradiation data. The goal was to utilise the 71% of land owned by farmers and land managers in the UK and offer financial stability to the unreliable incomes farmers face. Ultimately, we pitched at the Royal Institution and won the "Audience price". -
