I have a long history of working in the human service field, starting as an Academic Counselor working in community colleges and working to expand the applicant pool for the the field of Medicine, Dentistry and other health professions. I worked outside the field primarily to supplement my quantitative skills in accounting, supervision and neuropsychological testing. My early interest in Counseling was facilitated by my experiences as a Combat Medical Aidman during the Viet-Nam War. This creating my awareness of the effects of post war residuals on young soldiers returning home. My past employment has been varied and it has given me the insights to be creative in finding solutions to problems that I seek to solve or help others make a better life.
