In this position I had four core responsibilities of which the first two were the most time consuming: i) fixed assets Zug, ii) inbound freight (multiple franchises), iii) inventory integrity reporting (US and Zug), and iv) Intrastat tax reporting (only Lifescan). As a fixed asset expert I took ownership of the full asset life-cycle and the corresponding P&L impact. This means that I was involved from the start for each of the new projects up until assets were removed out of the books (i.e. disposals) since they were of no use anymore. With regard to inbound freight, I managed the freight PO's related to raw materials, finished goods and warehousing. In this role, I was responsible for the regional cash management for the Latin American region and Russia. In this role, I was responsible for the regional cash management for the Latin American region and Russia. For Brazil and Mexico, I additionally did the hedge accounting (monthly). Since TA owns the treasury chart of accounts, the creation, set-up or any changes to existing accounts went via our team. My main business partners were the Regional Treasury Services team in Brazil, the Global Financial Services team in Mexico and the local affiliates in the different countries. Mulder Natural Foods is a Belgian based European leader in private label breakfast cereals. During my three month internship I did a short deep dive through all the different departments and manufacturing processes. Among other activities, I led an R&D project, drafted tenders for cardboard suppliers, was present during supplier negotiations and management decision-making meetings. I did product quality controls on the floor and a feasibility study for a new packaging concept.
