Define and execute company BD strategy, from product definition, business development and marketing etc. all typical stuff as in a start-up firm. About: iCube is a technical start-up doing embedded processor designs and SoC, with a very special focus on CPU and GPU unified parallel-computing at micro-architecture level. It was 5 yrs too early.It was not an easy time, but it's a necessary piece of experience for an entrepreneur.

Define and execute China business development strategies，Ecosystem and partnership networking. Deeply involved in global marketing activities, Extremely challenging tasks and deliver great results. Made huge contribution on MIPS recovery during 2010-2013. MIPS was acquired at $8（vs. $1 on entry) share price in 2013. China story is the key driver of this improvement. I was a critical part of MIPS global marketing team. Fighted a bloody battle, got stronger from tough jobs (vs. my time with ARM that was mostly about creation rather than fighting).After successful MIPS/Imagination merge. I departured for my own business venture exploration.

Responsible for sales number apart from ongoing marketing development and partner networking works.- Build up local sales operation function, oversees FAE and local support engineering team;- Business development and deal close, responsibility of China（+H.K.） sales budget, over USD10M sales number;- Ownership of regional development strategy;- Set up dedicated segment marketing team.

Made significant contribution to ARM China growth; drive marketing and sales activities, lead and develop local FAE team.- Business development, close connection with all local SoC players;- Application segment marketing (mobile/digital home/embedded) talking to OEM/ODMs;- Develop and maintain local eco-system and partner networking;- Define and execute China marketing plan, responsible for all ARM China marketing activities, resulted in significant ARM presence in China;- Develop and oversee local FAE team.

I'm the first local employee of ARM in China. It is an extremely good experience for me to be growing with the company in the region.- Support customers engineering projects （at that time, ARM is totally new for most of Chinese engineers)- Pre-sales and post-sales technical support; technical training;- Build local FAE team;- Technical promotion, build up local eco-system and partners networking.- Contribution to a big amount of technical publications.

It was a good piece of memory working in a small but effective startup company. We, a small 3 engineers team in Shanghai, as part of a 10 engineers team cross U.S.-China-Europen, had completed 2 design projects. We delivered a tape out (0.18um in year of 2001; with an ARM7TDMI inside) and made that chip working, and built a prototyping ready. my doing was:- IC design.- Firmware development.- PCB design and prototyping assembling (yes, many teardown and handiwork).This engineering experience is a solid background for my career path.

My first job after graduation. Avant! was top 3 EDA players at that time now is part of Synopsys. They were pioneer of setting up leading edge IC design team in China. I was one of hundreds new graduates they hired from top tie universtities at that year. This experience was almost like unversithy labs, learn more than output. After 6 months I moved to a real design company.
