I became an entrepreneur in the early 2000’ and am extremely proud to work with my partners to build innovative technology companies and to support other entrepreneurs around the world. I’m originally from Munich, initially spent some time in the gaming industry (Command & Conquer Tiberium Sun), and then served as CEO and Co-Founder of our event ticketing software startup amiando. We sold amiando to German public-listed social network XING back in 2010, and after a well-needed break, we did it again in almost the same founders’ constellation by founding IDnow - now a European champion for KYC and Identity Verification products. I am still serving as the Chairman of our board but in 2014, I teamed up with two other partners to build Bits & Pretzels into Germany’s leading startup founders conference, and also in 2014 I teamed up with my other partners to form 10x Group, a startup investing group, which in the meantime also has helped to found FLEX Capital, a small-cap software PE firm, and 10x Founders, an early-stage startup venture network. So days are packed :-)Before entering the business world, I studied electrical engineering in Munich, Zurich and Stanford – and did a lot of own coding ranging from good old Assembler and C++ up into modern frameworks like C# and all the web and mobile stuff like Swift. And at least I can grasp the very basics of Tensorflow and OpenAI APIs.I love the time I spend on the various ventures, but when I’m not in front of computers, my greatest joy is spending time with my family as well as pursuing my big hobby & passion, aviation, as a pilot.If I can be of any help, feel free to write me by means of an introduction.
