I have a broad range of leadership experiences in academic, acute care and public health settings and have participated on many regional, provincial and national working groups and collaborations. My passion is making my community a better place for all, whether through work or volunteering, and I know that no challenge is insurmountable when we partner in advocacy and problem solving. I am excited about advances in research and technology, especially how they are shaping education, healthcare and patient outcomes. Notable achievements:--> Successfully built a case for, sourced and, in collaboration with the IT team, implemented the first electronic medical record at Southwestern Public Health (during the COVID-19 pandemic). This resulted in increased security, optimized workflows, and lower operational costs.--> Facilitated engagement of marginalized populations with public health services, applying a health equity lens. This included making services available after hours and physically more accessible.--> Launched the first regional in-situ paediatric inter-professional simulation program in Southwestern Ontario, using high fidelity manikins and supported by clinical experts trained in debriefing techniques. Leveraging existing resources makes it possible for community hospitals to access team-based simulation training.--> Coordinated the revitalization of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care (CTFPHC), which continues to provide evidence-based clinical practice guidelines that inform primary care providers across Canada in delivering preventive health care.
