Research and development. Coding of simulation models and optimization programs:• Development in Java of the thermal model for a solar power tower central receiver. The model was used to simulate yearly operation of the plant, calculating production, performance and losses• Development in Java and Python of a Photovoltaic model, used to calculate yearly production and performance losses. The program run using parallel computing and used optimization functions to simulate advanced plant component features• Photovoltaic tracker terrain positioning optimization. Developed a methodology and a program to calculate the optimal pillar height for the tracker, with terrain adaptability and subject to mechanical restrictions of the tracker. The program consisted of a first version coded in Excel Visual Basic for Applications, which was later translated to Python. Additionally a 3D tracker visualization tool was coded in Matlab
