I helped develop the ML Infrastructure for monetization, a system that provides personalized recommendation across 3B users for FB & IG, generating annual revenue of $130b. My work spans across LLM based user/content understanding, feature/modelling exploration, training/serving scaling, and ML developer productivity.- Through analysis and reliability improvement across feature compilation and roll-out, successfully improved end-to-end latency of feature/model roll-out by 20%.- Incubated Llama-based content understanding system for personalization, successfully balanced high GPU-demand of LLMs and accuracy via clustering techniques.

Previously I led Messaging Platform where we delivered the messaging system used by 3 billion people across Instagram, FB, Messenger. Grew team from 10 to 250.Key accomplishments across FB career:Messaging- Led Messenger 4 User experience redesign from 9 tabs to 3. (1.4 billion MAU across iOS/Android/Web)[150 engineers] - Launched Jan 2019- Led Lightspeed (Messenger iOS mobile-first rewrite: 350M MAU) [350 engineers]. Reduced App startup-time from 8.4s to 1.7s, binary size from 220mb to 30mb. Launched Feb 2020- Led Android modernization with cross-platform Lightspeed kernel, successfully unified codebase across iOS/Android/Windows achieving next-level reliability, user-experience consistency, and development productivity. Launched Dec 2022 - Delivered cross-platform Messaging system from scratch, powering IG direct, Messenger, FB, Oculus, and Smartglasses across 3 billion users, 60 billion messages/day.
