In spring 2001, I presented my plans for founding an online reservation system for the yacht charter market to my friend Jens Biermann. We wrote a business plan, specifications for the system and contracted an IT company to do the programming. It was a hard way to pave the way for online booking in the yacht charter market - but we succeeded. In 2007, we decided to redo the whole system with an innovative business logic and applying the latest technology. We launched this B2B reservation system under the name YachtSys. Nowadays, 5,000 yachts from 350 charter providers can be booked online in YachtSys. Around 2100 charter agencies use YachtSys for their daily business. The latest innovations are the new Agency YachtFinder, the Owner Financial Balance Reporting and the Price Optimization Tool for Yacht Charter Prices. YachtSys is now also Mobile Ready! You can administrate your charter fleet or place bookings as a charter agency from your mobile phone.
