    • Assess the immunogenicity of influenza proteins when presented in cholesterol rich virus-like-particles (VLP), using a mouse model of vaccination. • In charge of production, purification, and quality control of novel chimeric hemagglutinin reagents to aid in the detection of hemagglutinin-specific stalk reactive B cell/antibody responses. • Optimize serological and cellular assays using these novel chimeric hemagglutinin reagents as substrate. • Purify polyclonal human antibodies from plasma samples obtained from subjects participating in various influenza infection protocols and/or influenza vaccine clinical trials.• Screen human samples for antibody reactivity against the influenza hemagglutinin stalk.• Assess the extent cross-reactivity against novel chimeric hemagglutinin reagents present in human subjects previously infected with pandemic H1N1 or subjects that had participated in multiple avian influenza vaccination studies.• Coordinate exchange of reagents, human samples, and technology between the NYICE and Mount Sinai CEIRS centers.• Provide feedback and aid on the development of a new and safe microneutralization assay for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza viruses by employing pseudotyped influenza viruses.
