I am a 2019 MPH epidemiology graduate from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. During my time at Columbia, I gained a solid foundation in epidemiological methods, data analysis, and public health research. I am very proficient in SAS and R, and I can effectively communicate complex analytic concepts to people with all levels of expertise. I wrote my master's thesis on the relationship between income inequality and suicide in U.S. counties.During graduate school, I worked as an intern at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) for 1 year. I collaborated with research analysts to abstract, manage, and analyze data from two field investigations. I additionally completed and presented two independent research projects within and outside the DOHMH. My immediate career goal is to work as a research/data analyst in a health or research setting. My long-term career goal is to develop the technical and interpersonal skills to head a research team and produce impactful public health research. I am particularly interested in mental health, social determinants of health, health disparities, and spatial epidemiology.Skills: Data analysis, data management, data visualization, statistical analysis and statistical programming, R, SAS, SQL, GIS, SPSS, SUDAAN, MPlus
