A world-renowned expert in low-carbontransportation and energy innovation, Dr. An founded iCET in California and Beijing with the vision of creating a world-class think tank to accelerate transitions to zero emission mobility and clean energy future. Under his leadership, iCET is developing multi-faceted programs in the areas of clean transportation transformation, smart energy management and sustainable technology innovation. In 2013, iCET partnered with the US Dept. of Commerce to establish an US-China Clean Tech Center (UCCTC) to promote cleantech collaboration and trade between US and China. Prior to founding iCET, Dr. An served in numerous national and international institutions with various capacities, including US Agency for International Development, US Dept of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory, and University of California. In the past decade, He has advised governments in China, US, EU, Mexico, Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia and Thailand on clean energy, automotive fuel economy and climate policies.
