Responsible for exclusively supervising the third-party security contracted to Toronto Community Housing.» Directly manage more than 25 permanent high-profile accounts (including 251 Sherbourne St, 200 Wellesley St E, Regent Park, 44 Willowridge Rd, 4205 Lawrence Ave E, etc), spanning central, east, and west districts; Temporary accounts (ranging from 1 to 50+ at a given moment) of additional coverage including fire watch, access control, tenant assistance; Provide constant training and support for at least thirty guards on a daily basis» Commitment to excellent tenant and client service by being diplomatic, patient, and courteous; Demonstrate effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and listening skills to achieve security objectives, resolve conflicts, and act as mediator; Develop and maintain working relationships with tenants and engage in their security concerns» Work closely with Toronto Community Housing Community Safety Unit (CSU), both on the field and from a management perspective to achieve key objectives and metrics; Implement and oversee directives from stakeholders (client service manager, CSU special constable sergeants and staff sergeants, community safety advisors, and operating unit managers), and provide feedback and recommendations as necessary» Conduct high-visible community patrols; Respond to or assist with calls, often being the first responder or first back-up for a CSU special constable; Assist police, fire, and paramedics during emergencies or investigations; Enforce property rules, Trespass to Property Act, and the Canadian Criminal Code, effecting citizen’s arrest when and where necessary; Render emergency first aid and CPR; Report maintenance issues and dislodge jammed lock systems; Tactical radio communication (style of speech, radio codes, phonetics, etc); Produce detailed, clear, and concise supervisory and occurrence reports for stakeholders
