Engineering Student Services Tutors are students who provide one-on-one academic mentorship to peers in select undergraduate engineering courses (CSE 361S - Introduction to Systems Software).

WUSAs are student leaders who assist new first-year students with their academic, social, and personal transitions to WashU, serving as orientation leaders and as peer mentors for the student’s entire first year. Their primary duties are to remind students of academic deadlines, policies, and resources and to help build community among the first-year, transfer, or exchange student groups.

Residential Peer Mentors (RPMs) create a successful academic community of students in a university living environment. RPMs facilitate group learning hours for Calculus courses throughout the week in classrooms and other public spaces in residential colleges on the South 40.

CSE 247 ( Data Structures and Algorithms), CSE 361S (Introduction to Systems Software)- Held regular in-person/virtual office hours and led lab sections- Taught curricular material and guided weekly labs and problem sets

- Led development of a new sleep aid mobile application (both iOS and Android) as the sole engineer, working in Swift and Kotlin- Analyzed A/B tests and optimized onboarding flows for maximized conversion; increased onboarding conversion rate to over 60%- iOS auto-renewing subscription released on June 2nd, with over $12,000 revenue and est. $2,000 MRR generated as of August 2024- Rebuilt the Cash Arcade app in the Play Store (Android), updating app functionality for over 10,000 daily active users- Led company movement into the market of hyper-casual games, developing a ball sort app optimized solely for ad revenue

- Leveraged GPT-4, Node, Firebase, and crons to build an automated SEO blog site ground-up- Engineered prompts to the chat-complete API to analyze natural language from daily poll results and generate search-engine-optimized posts, publishing without human input- Pioneered a “weekly reports” system, utilizing GPT-4 and App Store API to generate weekly reports on newest customer reviews, gaining insights on new products, design systems, ratings and bugs- Implemented dynamically-generated XML sitemaps to automatically update with new deployments- Improved search result performance by over 30% using Lighthouse and used Google Search Console to optimize site speed by over 20%

- Implemented UI/UX changes for over 50,000 daily users including responsive design for desktop/tablet/mobile users, better loading states, error handling, and decreasing loading times – increased user volume on web by over 3x in 3 months- Led frontend web development using React.js (Typescript/HTML/CSS), Next.js, and Vercel; worked with customer support team in weekly meetings to improve their administration tool user interface/experience- Introduced mono-repositories to the web codebase to host over 7 sites for family-of-apps with shared packages/components, and implemented easy templating for future applications in the FOA- Engineered novel web security features with FingerprintJS and survey entry URL hashing to mitigate fraudulent activity
