Ever since elementary school, my dream of becoming a Chinese language teacher has been a driving force in my life. I aim to educate and nurture future generations, believing that teaching involves instilling principles of life and guiding students to become well-rounded individuals.With a strong bilingual education and a solid foundation in teaching and curriculum planning from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Chinese Studies program, I am dedicated to creating a positive learning environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. I understand that teaching goes beyond knowledge transfer; it requires personal connection and igniting students' interests. I commit to designing an engaging learning environment that sparks curiosity and unlocks their potential. Additionally, my experience as a private Chinese tutor for a special-needs child has taught me to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual needs and foster inclusivity and support.As a teacher assistant and curriculum planner at the Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC), I have gained practical experience in developing captivating educational materials and organizing engaging activities for primary school students. I have seen the transformative power of innovative teaching methods, such as nursery rhymes and picture books, in enhancing the learning experience.As the head of publicity for the Early Admission Exercise (EAE) committee in Chinese Studies, I actively promote Chinese culture and language through campus and community events. Notably, I organized and hosted the 2022 Double Ninth Festival celebration, showcasing its traditions to elder members of Lion Befrienders. This experience strengthened my leadership and communication skills, preparing me for future endeavors in education.In conclusion, my passion for teaching, coupled with my educational background and practical experiences, has equipped me with the necessary skills to make a meaningful impact as a Chinese language teacher.
