About Camila Soares

With 14 years of experience in impact driven business, entrepreneurship and building startups from the ground up, Camila is the founder and CEO of IMPACTO a social impact network that promotes connection between people who wish to offer knowledge, time, resources and skills to impact projects in order to strengthen and boost them, promoting a social match. IMPACTO focuses on deep eye to eye on the ground approach that guarantees transparent, measurable, replicable and scalable impacts. Camila is also a founding member of Endless Computers and headed the Ground Impact team for almost 5 years, supporting the startup's growth from 5 to 100 employees globally. Her main expertise was scouting new potential markets and connecting the company to communities around the world in deep levels: from households in slums of Rio de Janeiro and rural Guatemala, to schools in remote Haiti and refugee camps in Jordan, helping develop products that are made for the necessities of people who don't have access to education, health, livelihood, entertainment and opportunity. Expert in connecting companies and the humanitarian world, Camila has deployed tailor made solutions, products and services using ground research, design thinking and user centered design to refugee empowerment programs in the Middle East, Africa and Brazil to agencies such as: UNICEF, UNHCR, USAID, NRC and Save the children.Filmmaker by heart with a Marketing, Humanitarian and Social Entrepreneurship background, Camila worked previously for the ad agency TBWA in New York, for Golden Goal Sports Ventures, a British sports management company, and as a manager for Coca-Cola's social business project at CDI Recode, a global digital inclusion NGO.Camila's career personal highlights: working as a stunt double for the American reality TV show Survivor, testing very hard core challenges in extreme environments. And going on a sabbatical round the world trip aiming for self development and inner growth, living very close to monks and having the highest mountains of the world as background - the Himalayas.
