Fenske is known as the professional artist who explored quantum physics and how it relates to the world of art. Fenske developed archival fluorescent pigments. Now, 70 years later, he became noted as the master of fluorescent art.Picasso, van Gogh and Dali historically are remembered by carving a place in history. Fighting against popular winds, Fenske embraced fluorescent art even though it was rejected by the art world during his growth as an artist. From the depths of his being, he felt that mimicing light was the essence that all great artists strived to achieve. To him fluorescence embodied the very nature of light and ignoring its important place in art history was a huge mistake.Therein, he embraced his destiny of trying to guide the fine art industry to accept fluorescence, not only for financial incentive, but as a necessary component to excite the next generation of artists.His traveling exhibition, containing invisible murals and dual image environments, has been shown in exhibits throughout Asia, Europe and the United States.

Like Impressionism & Cubism, Luminous art has been around since the early 1900's and has great historical significance.Luminous art is art that emits light. Because it is its own light source, I am able to put two separate images on the same canvas. The images here are not CGI. The change really happens on the canvas.About 30 years ago I invented invisible fluorescing paints that were suitable for fine art. When I developed the process, Luminism in fine art had all but disappeared from the art world.Since then it has been my goal to, not only restore this loss, but to make sure it never happens again. It's great contribution to the world of art should not be lost.My first dedicated "Night Visions"® gallery opened in the mid 1990's in Nagoya, Japan, followed by a second in Tokyo Ginza district. I was the first American artist to show my work at the Nagoya Shogun Castle and the first artist to place luminous paintings in the estate of a prince in Saudi Arabia. My work has graced the walls of the Parliament Building for the Speaker of the House in Victoria, Canada. "Night Visions"® paintings are among the treasured pieces of art collected by President Bill Clinton and the former “King of Pop” Michael Jackson. My Luminous murals were used for a special exhibit in the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.It is my hope that by saving Luminous art, museums will be able to educate a new generation.
