Process Engineer
Current• Prepared key process deliverables such as process design basis, operation and control (O&C) philosophy, process simulation report, and emergency shutdown (ESD) philosophy.• Performed key simulations utilizing thorough understanding of API 520, API 521 for Pressure Relief and Flare System design and analysis, utilizing specialized software such as: 1- ASPEN Flare Analyser to evaluate flare systems for flare hydraulics and relief and blowdown reports. 2- HYSYS “Blowdown & Depressurization” & Siemens’ gFlare (gPROMS) for restriction orifice (RO) sizing and staggered depressurization studies. 3- HYSYS “Safety Analysis Environment” for pressure safety valve (PSV) sizing to calculate relief loads for different overpressure scenarios. • Reviewed vendor datasheets for PSVs and ROs to ensure compliance with design specifications and process requirements. • Conducted feasibility studies and sensitivity analysis on sustainable alternatives for offshore process heating, and proposed 3 potential solutions for GHG abatement as part of ADNOC’s Decarbonization initiatives. • Prepared marked-up P&IDs for oil storage facilities while integrating multi-disciplinary inputs for a concept study project. • Conducted a root cause analysis (RCA) and presented recommendations to resolve ongoing issues with underperforming glycol dehydration trains by modelling separators such as scrubbers and glycol absorbers on HYSYS. • Gained insightful knowledge on industry and process safety practices by participating in critical project workshops including design reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and 3D model reviews. • Carried out research on typical oil tanker storage capacities, types and manifold sizes to ensure appropriate design of berths.
