Circus Treurdier was founded in junuary 2008 bij Thomas Spijkerman. He wanted talented theatrical artists to gather both in a business and artistic way. In the passed few years Circus Treurdier became a successful platform for young, professional musicians and actors.I produced the trailers as well as compilations of the plays for promotion and further development of the platform.

North Holland, The Netherlands

During my studies I produced, together with two of my friends from the University of Amsterdam, ten episodes of Make-over television. In collaboration with hair stylist Bob Jansen and L'Oréal Professionel the programme was broadcasted in 2007 and 2008 at the commercial regional television station Regio22.We were responsible for the entire production and because of the success we produced another series of ten episodes. This led to the beginning of our company Vlijmscherp Producties.

Hoorn, Netherlands

The commercial regional televison network Regio22, with a focus mainly on the northern and central area of North Holland, reached about 375.000 households with 1.000.000 potential viewers.As a volunteer I produced the local news that had to be recorded and broadcasted at the same day. Knowlegde of all aspects of the production process was requiered to work with the pressure of tight deadlines.Some of the aspects I worked on were editorial work, interview, camera and editting.

Amsterdam En Omgeving, Nederland

During my internship at Acasea Consultancy the central theme was the cow market in Purmerend. After the foot-and-mouth disease in 2001 the market in the center of the town was closed. And while the market opened again in Leeuwarden and Utrecht, it didn't happen in Purmerend.Together with Jean-Baptiste Bolten and Charlotte Ravensbergen we did a lot of thourough research for over three months to the causes of the remaining closure. After reconstructing all facts we interviewed and filmed the people who were involved. These were a local politician, Animal Welfare, Environmental Defense, farmers and a politician from the European Parliament in Brussels.We had a specific goal with the documentary we produced in the following three months. It was meant to create a discussion about whether to open the cow market in Purmerend or not. It turned out to be a great success when the market was opened again indeed in march 2008.
