Ferdinand is fully committed in his activity of acacia stakes production in Romania. These are 100% natural and sustainable. They replace chemically treated stakes and have an exceptional lifespan - they last up to 30 years in the ground. Acacia stakes are used for fences, trees staking (vineyards and arborists) or as poles for hop cultures and as outdoor structures for playgrounds and zoos.2019, he co-founded Acacia Bois and aims to make it the largest acacia stakes producer in Europe. 2018, he co-founded Flashletters - renting big wooden bright letters - and developed Xylo Impact - production and sale of personnalised braziers - which he had started as a side project. 2011-2017, he worked at Natural Resources Value Fund (now transformed into Forbiom SA), a Luxembourg investment fund acquiring large forests and agricultural land in Romania. Within 6 months, he learned Romanian and after 2 years, took over all the forestry operations. He scaled up the production to an industrial level, although the very complex local legislation and the mandatory approvals needed from multiple public and private stakeholders. He scouted agriculture and forestry land for sale, lead due diligences and took part in purchasing negotiations. In 2010, he graduated for a Master in Bioengineering and a complementary Master in Entrepreneurship. His thesis was a business plan for the construction of a biomass transformation platform, it won several prizes.In his leisure time, Ferdinand enjoys family times, playing squash and improving his knowledge of languages.
