During design of different new boards I have been in contact with FAE of many different silicon vendors like Intel, Broadcom, LSI, Freescale, Marvell, TI, Xilinx, Altera for clarifying technical details or undocumented features. Created and presented at Ericsson Technology Board Sweden different studies like „Comparison of Cloud HW Solutions on Global Market”, „Outlook for Cloud Core HW”, respective a short study about new storage technologies and Cloud HW development strategy for Ericsson. As a "part-time" job within Ericsson I was also involved in Signal Integrity Simulations. Started a class at Budapest University of Technology and Economics titled "Integrated design of high-speed digital circuits" which covered the way of working, schematics and layout design, as well as signal and power integrity of complex high-speed digital circuits.

    I was involved in the SW development from the scratch of an industrial computer which acted as a PLC (Programmbale Logic Control). It included a compiler and it could be programmed in a Pascal type language. A Fuzzy Logic Controller was also implemented within it, the latter being based on one of my Ph.D. thesis. The SW development included drivers for the interface cards, task scheduler, respective ASM programming for intelligent interface cards (high precision frequency measurement card).

    During this time I designed, developed and manufactured (soldered by myself) a small computer network using 8 bit Intel microcontroller 8051 and Motorola videocontroller. I also designed and developed the network protocol between 20 client devices (each with its own microcontroller, monitor and numeric keyboard) respective a PC with an ISA card through which the PC was connected to all of the 20 clients. The network physical layer was a coax cable in chain with terminations at both ends. This small computer network was used for checking the workers about their personal knowledge regarding the labour safety in a power plant. From the PC's database a question was sent out with 4-6 answers to each client, and the personal have to chose in a specified time the correct answer through its numeric pad. Time left for the answer was shown for each client. Once a client finished its answer the new question was sent from the PC to that client independently from the rest of the clients.
